During the day yesterday mom and I went shopping for some snacks and sodas to provide at my little pregame at my house with the girls. The girls came over at 8 and we had drinks, snacks, listened to music and talked until 11ish when we went out. The De Vet Du-guys were playing at Valand and it was CROWDED! A superfun and eventful night for sure!
This is what I wore: a completely black outfit; with black high-waisted leather pants, my new black open-back top, black heels and a pony-tail. I also painted my nails red, as well as I wore red lipstick.

At 11am this morning I had an appointment to get my hair done at "Vacker", a place I haven't been to before actually. But I really liked it! We also bought this "Silver schampoo" which is supposed to keep my hair blonde for a longer time after I have gotten it done. We'll see if it works...
Now I just woke up from a nap and Sebastian is coming over any minute and I think we'll go out for a short walk or something. So I've been thinking about something... I literally always do this thing, which actually is sort of annoying. I ALWAYS look forward to breaks, I mean who doesn't? And then when they finally come I enjoy like one day of them and then I'm bored. If I go away on a trip it's different of course, since you're busy exploring and such, but always when I'm just at home it takes me about one day and then I'm just like: "AAAAARGH" This break have I already; worked out a lot, gotten homework done, hung out with my friends, went shopping, cleaned my room, driven to Freeport, gone out for dinner, gone to the movies, have like three movie nights at home, ordered some stuff online, message friends I haven't seen in a while to hang out later this week.... And it's only Tuesday and I'm BORED!
WHY am I so impatient and intense all the time? The majority of my friends just want me to shut up sometimes or speak a little slower, because they couldn't understand a word of what I was saying. But then I guess it sort of makes sense that I LOOOVED living in California since I got to explore and do things ALL THE TIME and also people over there are generally a lot more talkative (not necessarily for the better.)
Oh well I do have some plans later this week, but I just don't understand how everyone's like: "Oh my God, I slept in to 2pm today and then I watched a movie and had dinner and it's SOOOO relaxing." - 2pm???? Honestly? I've woken up at 6:30 every morning...

Although we already have about 3 or 4 coffee makers at my house, my daddy and I decided to buy an additional one yesterday. Let's face it; 80% of our family members drink coffee so I guess we're good. Vilma will most likely fall for the caffeine addiction eventually too and at that point we're up to 100%... ;)

So I feel I haven't really done much during this break so far, but actually it's so relaxing sometimes to do nothing. Tonight my family and I had dinner in front of the TV and watched TWO movies; Wallander and 10 Things I Hate About You. Cheers for movie nights that make you go to sleep at an reasonable hour!
And it surprises me how I always manage to fall in love with Heath Ledger EVERY fucking time I watch this movie. Every. Fucking. Time.

So whether we like it or not; fall is here. Which means rain, darkness, wind and cold wheather. I lived in California all last year, so yeah the wheather of Sweden SUCKS to me, but what can we do? Literally, wheather is the least thing in life we can affect, so we're just gonna have to deal with it.
So we might as well just make it as cozy as we can, right? I don't know about you guys, but I'm the type of person who just freezes ALL THE TIME. Like it's insane - I'm constantly freezing cold. So I think SWEATERS is the way to go this fall and upcoming winter. Obviously, we need warm jackets and such, but I believe in layers! I got this super cozy sweater from H&M for only 99 kr! It also comes in black - check it out if you like it. I love it!!! More sweaters, more cardigans!

Since Josefine's in school, mom's at work and Vilma is hanging out with some friends of hers daddy and I decided to go to go shopping for groceries together this morning and now we're going to Freeport together. I'll probably drive over there too for some driving practice for my lesson on Friday. Tomorrow I'm working out in the morning to later meet up with Johanna and Rebecca for coffee! I haven't seen Johanna since I moved back from California, so I'm super excited!!

Now I just got back from the city with my baby-girl, Vilma. We went to all different kinds of stores and had a latte and a smoothie at Condeco right by Kompassen. The day was super cozy, since we had a lot to talk about!! I'm starting to realize that my little sister is not so little anymore - in fact she's turning 15, which is so difficult for me to understand since she's always going to be my baby sister...
I found a couple of small things I needed such as face masks and nipple covers, BUT I also found the HOTTEST top - my god, I'll show you later but let's just say I absolutely LOVE it. To hint a little - it's black AND with an open back... Lovelovelove

I woke up SUPER early this morning but I did get an explanation to why when my dad woke up; apparently this is the day when we get an extra hour because of winter time, so I technically woke up at 7:30 as opposed to 6:30... I had an early breakfast in my loneliness and read a chapter out of "Brave New World" which is the book we're doing for English right now. Then I went running and now I just got out of the shower. I decided to put this black shoe-cream specifically for smooth leather shoes on my Prime Boots this morning too. I've had my pair for almost two years, but since I've regularly have been taking care of them, they don't look too worn out, do they?
My mommy and daddy are going to the beach house since they have some cleaning out there to do, as well as Josefine had made plans for studying so Vilma and I decided to go shopping - I'm gonna figure out what to wear now.

Since both of my sisters had dates with their boyfriends tonight I invited myself to mom and dad's date, haha... We went to this Indian place right by Heden and the chicken I had was super tasty, though spicy. After we went to Bergakungen for a movie and now we just got home. I always get so sleepy after going to the movies, no matter what time during the day it is, so I'll probably hit the sack pretty soon.

So have you guys made up your plans for fall break yet?
In fact I do not have that many plans and I actually find it relaxing, believe it or not but of course I do have some. I do not have that much homework assigned over the break either which is fortunate! This week I'm gonna focusing on working out, clean my room and closet, get my hair done, take driving lessons, meet up with friends I haven't seen in a while, go shopping and chill with the fam! On Wednesday I'm going out with a my girlies from Kitas - and I'm SO excited for that. De Vet Du is coming to Valand and yeah, I bet you all know THAT story, don't you? ;)
The following weekend I'm invited to another party too which hopefully wil be fun!

Now I just worked out and you all are aware of that feeling right after, right? It's feels so indescribably good! My entire body is so relaxed! I ran 8 km and luckly it's was not raining during that time. When I got home I did some strength exercises to finish up with some yoga positions and stretching. Now I'm having raspberries, yoghurt and coconut flakes for breakfast. Nomnom!

So last night when I got back from hanging out with Maximilian my mom had prepared the BEST dinner for us all to celebrate the fall break - isn't it pretty? Then we watched the weekly live-show of Idol 2013 and then Sebastian came over a while to say hi - definitely the perks of being neighbors!
Now I just woke up - and I have to fell you; wow what a nice feeling to know that I do not only have two days off, but nine. I'm gonna get up, have coffee and wait until the rain calms down a little to go out for the usual 8 km-run. At 2pm my baby sister has a basketball game I'll attend.

My Swedish class was cancelled today in the middle of the day so I went downtown to check out some stores. And wow, I have to say; BIK BOK has really stepped up. I mean I have always sort of liked their clothes, but lately I've found them really good-looking. I was just in the store for a couple of minutes but I found three REALLY cute party tops during that little amount of time. And additionally, their prices are really good! I'll definitely go back this break when I have more time.

IT'S OFFICIALLY FALL BREAK MY FRIENDS! HELL YEAH!
After school I met up with Maximilian, whom I haven't seen since summer. We catched up for a couple of hours over a latte. Max and I have known each other since we were about 8 so it's so cool that we're still hanging out!!! Love talking to this kid.
Tonight I'm just having a family dinner at home and then I'm prolly just gonna watch a movie with Rebecca later tonight. Simply a just relaxing Friday to welcome the break. This break could actually not come at a more convenient time - I tell you it's much, much needed!

When I came home today I wasn't feeling that well at all actually. Fortunately I didn't have any homework to get done today and it's also my day off from working out but yet it's so annoying, I really don't hope I'm getting sick. I'm freezing cold, tired and have sort of a headache. I just had a hot bubblebath and now I'm cuddling on the coach with blankets watching FRIENDS. I think I'm going to bed early tonight to hopefully feel better tomorrow...
I only have two classes tomorrow and after school I'm hanging out with Maximilian! I haven't seen him in a while, so that'll be fun!!!

I did join Amnesty at Hvitfeldtska in order to get points for CAS (service) in the first place, since I can't graduate without them. But today after our first death penalty-campaign I actually realized it is fun. It does feel good to help someone else and doing so without getting paid. At the campaign we collected signatures for a specific deathcase and handed out cookies and sweets!

So I've been asked multiple times to write/post pictures about the my year in the US. I ain't gonna lie it's been hard on me to look back at pictures and write about it because I miss it so much. It breaks my heart to go through pictures and remember what my life used to be like, my every fucking day life. I was ON TOP OF THE WORLD.
But, we can't avoid to face difficulties forever and today when I went through pictures I can also feel happy, because I can now remember how FUCKING happy I was.
So now to your questions:
What to think about when arriving to a host family/American high school: To be a part of a new family is WEIRD - it's basically a group of new people picking you up at the airport and now you guys are gonna live together, but I would just advice you to be polite, offer your help and don't be afraid to ask questions; all from questions about language, society, common norms or FOR A RIDE ;) When it comes to making friends in your new school, Americans are very forward, talkative and kind at first. They will be very curious about YOU and YOUR background. But you as new HAVE TO TALK, ask them questions, come along when they ask if you want to go out for a milkshake. YOU HAVE TO PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE. Another thing is that it's very clicky - groups are very common and in many cases you belong to one group of friends and then you don't switch around... Be aware whom to trust and whom not to trust. And work on to go in more depth in relationships with people you feel comfortable around. At least what I experienced was that Americans generally are very (almost too) easy to connect with at first, but have a harder time to open themselves up in the long-run.
When it comes to language: JUST FREAKING TALK. Yes you will have a different accent and yes they will notice it and (kindly and with love) make fun of you - in fact a guy referred my accent as "a very sexy, sort of European accent". But in three-four months they won't anymore and you're gonna have to explain yourself why you're not going to college, haha...
Homesickness: You're gonna leave your life for a year, your school, friends, house, family - so yeah you are gonna get homesick. It was times when I wanted to cuddle with my little sister more than anything or go for a run with my dad and these were things Skype couldn't provide, unfortunately. But my year was BASICALLY PERFECT, so I'm gonna go ahead and be honest when I say that homesickness was not as much of a problem to me. You might leave a life behind but you will be busy creating a new one and to stay busy is the best thing you can do. If you're homesick, don't hide in your room crying - talk to your host mom, meet up with a friend IT HELPS AND THEY ARE THERE TO HELP YOU.
Leaving the US/return to Sweden: Leaving Palo Alto was THE HARDEST THING I've ever done. I cried for days and I was almost depressed because I had to leave my entire life; my school, my track team, my host family, my house, my friends - all on the same day. I had to leave a life I had been working my ass off to put together for the past ten months.The worst part was that I wouldn't even be guaranteed to see any of them again... BUT coming home was incredible too - I realized that I appreciated everything and everyone at home much more when I returned after a year, which was so cool.

Hey people!
So my Tuesday: Running in POURING rain - which by the way was awful. Then I had two classes where I got my biology test back and had managed to score a 6 - WHIII! During my gap hour I had coffee with my lovely second-cousin Sarah, whom I haven't seen in sooooo long. We had a lot to talk about since she spent all last year in Kenya and I in the US, so it's was so much fun! Then I got some homework done to finish the day with two other classes and now I just ended (5pm.) Now I'm on my way to pick up a packet - my jacket!!! So excited to see what it looks like in real life. Then I'm finally going home to finish up homework in economics and to have dinner.
Can't more excited for break next week - I'll tell you about my plans later. What are you guys gonna do?

And it was also super fun to hang out with Frida again - especially since she is leaving for Singapore/Malayisa on Thursday for two weeks. Hello my friends!
Last night was great - Rebecca had made a super tasty dinner for us as well as dessert. We ate and drank at her house until 11ish when we headed to the city to spend the night at Valand.
Today is the kind of day when you just wanna stay in bed and don't do shit. BUT, of course I've made plans; now I'm leaving soon for Kungsmässan with my mommy, then around 12ish I'm meeting up with Frida for a coffee downtown, at 2pm my baby sister, Vilma plays SM for basketball and finally at 5pm I'm hopefully getting my belly button re-pierced depending on if they have time or not. So this (hungover) Saturday is gonna be intense... But at least I don't have that much homework this weekend which is sooooo relaxing!

Have you guys ever thought about our need as girls to constantly judge each other? It's among us everyday, all the time. I'm not saying I'm necessarily completely innocent myself either, although I'm trying not to do it. When I say that girls are judgmental I'm not only thinking of how we constantly talk shit on one another, rather, I'm referring to the LOOKS we give each other. And honestly it happens EVERYDAY. In fact I think some girls do it unconsciously, literally they don't even think about that they're doing it - but they do and that's why I want to label it - our JUDGMENTAL LOOKS. WHY?! If you see a girl with a pretty bag or a cute top why not tell her rather than giving her a nasty look? Your nasty look is most likely based on jealousy anyway and although jealousy might be what you feel im that specific moment, if that's the case, do you really want to show it? And also if you give a nasty look, when you can definitely expect to get one back...
Guys never, or rarely do this so why should we girls??? We need to step it up... I mean we can easily give our friends compliments as well as they give them to us, so why can't we give people we don't know compliments too? What is there to lose? It's not like they're gonna get upset - most likely surprised at first, then happy.
I'm going to Hvitfeldtska, which is one of the largest (if not the largest?) school in Gothenburg and is crowded with people everywhere, all the time. That means that anywhere you go, at any time during the day we girls pass each other by and we judge and judge and judge... I don't know what your guys' opinions are on this topic, but I'm just getting soooo tired of it... These looks need to stop - think about it, it's just so unnecessary! Appreciate each other instead! At least this is what I think: If you show your appreciation to people in your surroundings no matter if you know them or not, they are highly likely to show their appreciation back. This will definitely contribute to more smiles among us and if I'm not mistaken, we love to smile, don't we?

See that little thing? In my belly button? Yeah, it's adorable isn't it? I had one, but unfortunately it closed up for absolutely no reason at all about a year ago and I've literally been so butthurt every since, because I LOVED it. And I have all these super cute jewelry to use too... Sooo lately I've been thinking about giving it another shot, I mean why not? I have a (little though) scar there now so I might as well just have something pretty there instead? And it takes about 2-6 months for it to heal perfectly fine, which will be perfect to the summer. And besides I don't play a physical sport (basketball) anymore, which really contributed to the close up... What do you guys think?

Bootcut jeans...
... you either love them or hate them, there's nothing in between for some reason. I used to HATE them, but now I think I've joined the other side - they're actually kind of cool. What do you guys think? BUT it's still important how you wear them - with boots!!! I would definitely not wear them with vans or heels for example...
I also got myself a white, pretty simple but ADORABLE top with a low back which I'm in looooove with. Since it's Sunday and I've been studying all weekend my mommy spoiled me with a facemask, which I'm gonna use tonight I think - in fact I might actually take a bath too... A little relaxing time would be useful in order to mentally prepare myself for the up-coming week.

It's a robot in my tea
Isn't this little tea-robot just the cutest little thing ever? I got him in the US for my mom for Christmas last year. Maureen and I found him in this cute little gift shop just downtown Palo Alto and I fell in love instantly. I've been freezing cold all day so it was a great opportunity to make good use of him this morning. Last night Andreas joined us for dinner and my mommy had made a super good pie. Then we watched Idol and I think Andreas left around 11:30. Always a super great time with this guy as expected.
Now I just woke up and just worked out. I'm gonna hit the shower, make myself a coffee latte and then get starting on today's homework. Unfortunately it's gonna be a lot of that this weekend...
Since it's been my birthday and all recently I feel I've been eating too much sweets and bad foods so now I'm really exciting on starting a more healthy life. Mostly because it gives me more energy and generally makes me feel better!!! I know people are going INSANE about all this fitness-bullshit, but working out and eating good food is to me something that I know is going to make me feel good, and thus I'm gonna do it. Hopefully I have time to go out for a walk later today since the weather is absolutely gorgeous.

Soooo, here it is! What do you guys think? Before I got it I was thinking to get one in another color since I feel that a lot of my bags are black, but then I figured that they are for a reason; it's practically the best color to have since it goes with everthing. BUT then I thought I wanted some fun details which this bag really had. It was just one of those times when you go: "Yup - that's the one." HI FRIENDS!
How are you doing today? Aint gonna lie - my Thursday has been OUTRAGEOUSLY long, yet good. I got my economics test back and I scored a 6 (which is a B)!!!! I am so relieved and happy that I in fact was only 4 points from a 7 (A)! I also got a psychology essay back where I had scored a 7 (in that scale out of 8) which also made realize that; HARD WORK PAYS OFF!
I've gotten my entire English essay done today during break and it's due tomorrow so this Thursday is gonna be awesome!
Tomorrow it's Friday again - wihooooo! I'm gonna work out before school and I get off at 2:30 which itsn't too bad. Then I'm meeting up with my lovely friend Andreas!

I'm gonna wear them with my black pair of prime boots, but they will certainly also go well with brown boots/my black vans. BUT I tried them on with my new pair of white/golden heels I got from my friends (from nelly.com) as well and it looks AWESOME!

I got home super duper late from school today, partly because I ended math at 5 pm, also because I went shopping for a new pair of pants and they are AWESOME. I'll show you tomorrow.
Started out my English essay which is due on Friday. Then Sebastian and I went for a late night walk in the rain, super cozy actually to catch up a little. When I got home I took a hot shower and made myself some tea. Now I've been trying on all the new things I got for my birthday party; the dress, heels, tops and then also my new pants which I loooooove. I'm just too excited about clothes right now, haha...

This morning while working out it started to pour and I just thought ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? And the 8 km-route I've been running every morning has gotten too dark at 7 am just over the weekend - can you believe it? I CAN'T SEE FOR SHIT! My daddy got me a light to use though, but still?!

Disappointment is easily the worst feeling to experience. When you've expected something and it doesn't work out the way it was ought to be. When you've gradually built up excitement and you purely just get SHIT ON. There's a reason I've never been in a relationship and there's a reason I don't want to be attached to someone because NO FUCKING MATTER how good someone makes you feel and how you used to be able to make someone smile, someone's gonna end up hurt and thus it's just not worth it. Thanks for letting me down, thanks for giving up, thanks for hurting me the way she hurt you. Thanks for making it clear that you were not the person I thought you were and that guys are not to be trusted. Really, thanks. I'm done.

I had the girls over for dinner: salads, different kinds of pies; spinach&cheese, meat and ham&cheese and wine. Around 10ish the guys came over and I think we were about 35 people at the most. We had jello shots, vodka soaked gummy bears, drinks and cupcakes. For those of you who read my blog THANK YOU SO MUCH for making my day absolutely perfect last night. I received BEAUTIFUL gifts I never would imagine to get; the pair of white and golden heels from Nelly I wanted, remember? GOSH - I'm never gonna need a guy, when I have those babies! AND the blue dress!!!! My friends are the BEST!!!! I'm so infinitely greatful that I have you.

After school today I had Amnesty meeting and got home around 6. And every since then I've been preparing for my party - making cupcakes and jello shots - I'm so pumped!!!!

Wow look how pretty it is out? Although I definitely prefer warm weather, beaches and tan legs any day of the week I LOVE this season as well. It's freezing cold, yet sunny and so many pretty colors. Last night daddy and I went shopping for my party and after I met up with Alexander for a while.
I went out for my usual morning run and the sky is so pretty at that time.
Today I'm having a couple of friends over at my house to help me get stuff ready for the party and tonight I might go out and have a glass of wine with some couple of girls from my old class.

And in fact yes, it is a happy Thursday because my last class today is canceled and since I usually have a huge gap between my last two classes I end at 12:10 today - FUCK YEAH!
So I'm gonna go home and work out and get some math done. Tonight my dad and I are going shopping for stuff for my party, since my mommy's outta town, haha...
It's getting colder and colder so today I'm wearing warm socks and UGGS and this huge scarf (almost like a blanket) on top of my leather jacket. Much needed.

... Please, just a shot of caffeine. I just had three long classes in a row with barely any breaks in between and the last class was economics where I took a test. It went perfectly fine, but I'm just SO TIRED. Tests really tend to take it out of you. Now I'm on my way to meet up with my dad to get some things with my bank account straight, now when I'm 18!
