For some reason I slept really bad last night and in additional I woke up early too:( So at 8:00am this morning I was studying "Körkortsteori"... Fun. Now I made myself a double espresso latte to get this day going. I need to wake up despite the lack of sleep since after all it's New Year's today!

I'm gonna finish my this double amount of morning caffeine and then work out. What are you plans for tonight? I'll keep you updated,

2013 has been infinitely long. Probably due to the fact that I moved across the ocean halfway through it. Probably because at the beginning of 2013 I lived in Palo Alto in California, went to Palo Alto High School where my best friends were Tia, Simone, Jordan, Olivia and Hannah, where I'd one day go tanning by a friend's pool, go to San Francisco with Maureen, watch movies with J.T, go on a spontaneous trip for the weekend to L.A with friends, bike over to Stanford and watch football, basketball or baseball games with John, buy coffee at Starbucks, hook up with a baseball or football guy or make movies in video production for school. To finally go to a perfect American high school Prom with my best friends and a handsome date in a bright pink, open-back dress with glitter on it in SF, walk through a formal graduation, go on senior nights and trips to Sunset State Beach for a night of beaching, camping, drinking, laughing and watching shooting stars.

 

Yeah those were the times. Leaving California was the hardest thing I ever had to do however coming home was exciting too. Coming home to people with open arms and to realize I still had people here in Sweden made my homecoming much easier. Also, Sweden for once offered an incredible summer with the best weather in years which too contributed to smiles for the California girl ;)

 

Hm, what else? I attended IB which both make up the stupidest yet best decision I've made 2013. Switching around between schools a lot which I've been doing isn't actually all bad; in fact I love it. It makes be have a lot of different kinds of people in my life which I'm so greatful for. 

 

This year has been exciting and eventful, just the way I like it. So tonight we're gonna celebrate the year of 2013 and when I think back about it; it's been pretty darn good. I'm a lucky ass fuck,

Since it's New Year's tomorrow I wanted to throw it back until a year ago, when I spent this lovely night in California. For those of you who didn't follow my blog at that point, here you go! So many great memories with my best friends however in fact this was the best one,

Last night was very relaxing, just spent it at home with my family watching movies. Today I have a driving lesson in a few hours, then at 3:30pm I'm meeting up with Frida to hang out. Other things I need to get done today is to get everything I need for NEW YEAR'S EVE that's coming up tomorrow and although we girls didn't have any thing planned until last night, I think we actually have things pretty well planned now, hell yeah! I also need to figure out what to wear, that's the most difficult part; a dress/skirt!!?? Make up? Hair? Shit,

I found a couple of things at H&M today that I'll show you later. Now we just had salmon with feta cheese for dinner and Vilma and I grabbed the new iPad and are listening to music and cuddling. Simply some relaxing time - much needed.

Tonight we're going out - and I will for sure take it easy considering what happened last time, hehe... But I'm looking forward to a fun night, for sure. It's break after all.

Anyway we're going to Jade's place for a couple of glasses of wine before we're heading in to the avenue. It's the last Saturday of the year today so make sure to make the best out of it,

I've been longing for a larger necklace lately and I got an adorable one from Josefine for Christmas and today I found two other ones. One was 50% off and the other one I got for a gift card so in fact I ended up paying less than 100 kr!! Whey, love them so much. Now I just got back and tonight I'm probably going to a friend's house with a couple of people,

Therefore I'm gonna finish up my latte and then work out. Since it's the days between Christmas and New Year's Eve it also means SALES! So my mommy and I are going to the city. Have a good one,

We had my uncle and his wife over for dinner and they just left. Thomas is hilarious so I love spending time with him, as well as his wife, Norina, is adorable! My mom had made chili con carne, salad and bread for dinner and mudcake with whipped cream for dessert. Although it's only 8:30ish I think I'm hitting the sack soon. Glad this day's finally over,

But no lies, unfortunately I had an amount of alcohol my body couldn't handle and it sucks when that happens, it's embarrassing and so so disappointing but when it comes to that point it's just no fun anymore. My parents picked me up and no clubbing for me last night :( I'm so glad I have such lovely friends who looked out for me because honestly I don't know what I would have done without them last night.

I guess it's no way around this and it happens to everyone and yesterday it was to me. All I can say is that I hope my friends had a better night...

Today will be a lazy day; I'm gonna watch movies all day and hopefully bake some chocolate chip cookies if I can get my ass out of the bed. Tonight we're having my uncle and his wife over for dinner, so that will be fun if I can stay up that late ;) Hope you guys enjoyed Christmas Day more than I did,

Right now daddy and I are emptying my old phone with loads of pictures and videos from California to transfer it all to my computer. Can't believe I even had that many pictures, oh well I guess it makes sense if you live in California for a year and also constantly blogging about it, hehe. So today will be that kind of day - just get stuff done I usually don't have time for. Maybe I'll clean my room and try to get some other things done around the house.

Tonight Anna, Hanna, Frida and I are going out. I'm literally so excited since Christmas Day is supposed to be really fun! We're meeting up at Fridas at 7. I'll show you guys my outfit later, but I can tell you it's glittery...

Today I've been productive; got some more gifts for Christmas although I said I was done yesterday, hehe... Daddy, mommy and I went into the city and actually I drove ;)

Other than that I've gone out for a power walk, did some strength/stretching at home, showered, cleaned my room and got alcohol for the girls since we're going out December 25! Whey!!!

Now I put sweatpants on and will head down to Evelina's for a marathon of Julkalendern - the perfect thing to do the 23th of December! Tonight we're having a family dinner at home and are gonna spend the night playing family games,

Last night Josefine and I watched Mean Girls - oh how I love that movie. Today it's only one day left for Christmas! The plans for today are in fact perfect; Evelina, Rebecca and I are watching a "Julkalendern"-marathon since neither of us have watched it yet. Cozy, cozy! Happy Holidays people,

It just occured to me the other day or actually no it occurs to me everyday, however what I'm referring to is my somehow odd choice of programme. These last weeks before Christmas I've asked myself too many times WHY DO I PUT MYSELF THROUGH THE IB-PROGRAMME? WHYYYYYY?

 

But then I always end up giving myself the same answer; Because it's gonna be worth it. No matter where I end up, it's gonna be worth it. For those of you who don't know much about the International Baccalaureate programme, I can tell you that it is hard. There's a requirement for a minimum of 6 classes, where at least 3 needs to be Higher Levels (more time in class, more to cover, tougher requirements.) We have for the most part terrible schedules with long days and plenty of homework. And in the end of IB3 we have final exams during two weeks in every single class and these results make up 70% of our entire final grade and in additional, our teachers are not marking these - IB examiners all over the world are and these are people we have never faced. In order to receive our IB diploma (graduation), we need to hand in an "Extended Essay" (about 30 pages), a TOK-essay, IOP:s/IOC:s (additional assignments for each class) as well as outside of school perform and collect CAS-points (creativity, activity and service) and we need to have 50 hours for each at the end of IB3 and these need to be evaluated and done continuosly. And as a native Swede I also have to mention that all of my classes are with teachers who speaks English with accents like Indian, Chinese, French, American, Brittish, Swedish and so on for those of you who didn't know.

 

So then I again ask myself; WHY, MATILDA - WHY? But then again it's gonna be worth it, I'm certain. Additionally I could not see myself study in any other language than English at the moment which also contributes to my decision and if I'm ever gonna be back for college in California this is the best way for me to go. Finally, those of you who know me won't be surprised when I say that once I've started something I'm going to finish it - it's simply too late to back down now,

Yesterday I watched a couple of Christmas movies, went Christmas shopping and successfully found gifts for my sisters and then daddy, mommy and I went to get a Christmas tree and in fact we ended up getting the perfect one. Other than that I was pretty lazy but I guess I was allowed to since I was out last out the night before and also it was the first day of Christmas break. Today I think I'm gonna work out in the morning, have lunch and then Josefine and I are heading to the avenue for some Christmas shopping. Looooovin' break so far. Today my blog will be shown at Synas for blogg.se which basically is where you sign up for a time when you've collected a specific amount of points and since my blog will be visible, more people will visit it during that specific amount of time and hopefully also stay. You are as a blogger given these points when people are visiting your blog and I'm super happy to say that I'm collecting more and more points at a faster rate due to an increase of readers. As I've told you, I was planning on quit blogging when I moved back from California, however when I figured out that I could use the blog as my creativity for CAS for the IB diploma I thought; why not? The most hilarious thing happened when I got on the bus. The girl sitting behind me with her friend goes: "Oh, today's it's exactly one week left for Christmas." And I literally pull out my calendar, because I just couldn't believe it - but yes, it's one week. And I haven't even gone Christmas shopping once due to all the tests and assignments... Wow,

We ended up having a great time last night. Anna had made the most tasty pies and salad for dinner as well as dessert. We headed in to Valand at around 11ish and had such a great time dancing all night. I've thought about it before but specifically yesterday: to me, going out is all about having a good time with my friends - it really has come to that lately. I honestly just find the majority of the guys out either very drunk or just not my type. Maybe it's because of the night club, idk? It just really occurred to me last night that meeting guys out like that isn't my thing at all really. However, although we girls lost each other several times inside Klara, Hanna, Linn and I hung out most of the time dancing, laughing! Shout out to my beloved friends.

Now I'm going out for a "Tredje Advent"-walk with my parents. They offer to hang out with me since both of my sisters are with their boyfriends, haha. Other than that I have hw to get done today too - that's unusual...

It's perfect to celebrate Lucia on a Friday isn't it? I only have one of three classes today as well - whey! At 10-10:50am will we watch the Luciatåg at Hvitfeldtska and after Brigitta, Stina and I decided to go out for brunch somewhere downtown to get back to school at 1ish our one and only class! So excited! After school I'm hanging out with Andreas and I haven't really made up plans for tonight yet, although I was invited to a hangout with some people in my grade so I might do that. Probably won't stay up too late though since I'm going out tomorrow night with the girls!

Now I just watched the first episode of Julkalendern - honestly I feel so bad for not have taken me time to watch it everyday since it's adorable! Last night was super fun whereas we started at Evelina's as I mentioned, having homemade pizza and wine. At 10ish we headed over to Gustav's and the guys and walked with them to Hugo's. We partied until late since we basically could walk home any time we wanted because it was so close. Linda and I came back to my place at 4ish when Sebastian and Dennis called and we decided to go watch a movie with them before we went to bed.

This morning we woke up, not only to the Second of Advent, but also to loads of snow. Such a perfect timing! Wheeyyy - love it,

Saturday morning turned out a little different than I expected since dad and I was locked out of the house by accident after driving. So we went over to our beloved neighbors and invited ourselves to join Moa and Helena's brunch, haha. Sebastian was still asleep so I attacked him forcing him to wake up. So relieved that is Saturday - oh how I love Saturdays! Last night I ended up watching Homeland with mommy and daddy. It's a brilliant TV-show, so go watch it if you haven't already. We're on season 2 and it's constantly intense and filled with action - just how Matilda likes it.

 

Today I'm tryna get homework done, drive with daddy as well as go out for a power walk with my main girl, Rebecca. Hopefully it won't be too cold. Then I invited Sebastian and Rebeccisen over for a latte, let's see if they can make it. At around 6:30ish I'm meeting up with Linda and then we're heading to Evelina's place for dinner and pregame with the girls. Later tonight we're celebrating Hugo's 19th birthday. My last class just ended and I'm in the library to study until 4ish, when my Amnesty meeting begins. My day today was super fun actually. Stina and I literally laughed through economics - I guess it just comes to a point when you're too tired to get anything done since it's Friday and not many days left for Christmas break. After lunch Birgittisen and I walked to the avenue for some hot chocolate and lattes and it's so pretty out yet freezing cold! Now I have to get started on bio - have a nice Friday afternoon,

How are we doing today? I just finished my English essay outline that is due tomorrow so now I'm just cuddling on the couch writing down what I want for Christmas on my iPad. And by the way; IT'S SNOWING - yey, finally. While studying before I listened to Hoodie Allen's album All American - which reminds me so much of the US. My favorites are No Interruption and No Faith in Brooklyn, they're pretty old but not too famous outside the US, so if you haven't listen  - DO SO. Now I'm gonna make myself a cup of the new favorite: Caramel an Vanilla tea from Lipton and watch a couple of episodes of Paradise Hotel on my iPad. Tomorrow our beloved Friday is visiting again. I just saw this picture on twitter and it made me think of such a strong memory from California. It was our "Senior Ditch Day" which basically was the day when everyone ditch school and we went camping to Sunset State Beach. It was one of the best trips I've made, ever. I'll post some picture of the place at the end but first I have to tell you about my memory; it was about 2:30 in the middle of the night and some people including me just couldn't fall asleep so we walked out of the camping site (which was right above the beach) and lie down on the ground with blankets and watched the beautiful sky and millions of stars for hours. Before this day I had never seen a shooting star, but that night I saw about 5-6. I remember how I tried to take pictures so badly, but they wouldn't turn out any good, however now I know it doesn't matter because I'll always remember it in my head. Those are memories that remain,

Now I'm stuck with piles of psychology papers, jeez just want to get it done so I can watch TV, but that's not gonna happen. But then again I chose IB and I was aware of the consequences with that decision so I'd better stop this whining and get shit done.

What else this week? On Wednesday we're having a family-bonding day so dad got tickets for the theatre "Doktor Glas" so that's what we're doing. I end at 4, so I think I'll just go to a cozy cafe somewhere along the avenue and get started on my English essay and then meet up with the fam at 6ish,

So this was what I got yesterday when I went shopping with Vilma; two pairs of bootcut jeans from "Divided" and "Denim". They are slightly different although it's hard to tell by looking at the picture; the pair to the right (from Divided) are more of a gray color whereas the other pair is more blue. They are both super comfortable and look great on. I'll post pictures with them on during next week at some point,
